The Baan Mae Ramoeng School lies in N.E Thailand close to the Myanmar border. The surrounding rural population is very poor and has a large proportion of persons displaced (or semi-displaced) by conflicts the other side of the border.  Identified and supported also by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn of Thailand the school helps over 1000 poor children. Many have to walk up to 40km to get to the school. There is need of dormitory accomodation  and the program focuses on both this and establishing vocational training facilities.
