Cambodia FIRST-Rose Rehabilitative Surgery (Chea Chumnas Hospital)........ Combined Rose Charities and 'FIRST' group project. Undertakes cost effective, surgical procedures aimed at improvement in quality of life. Typical procedures include cleft lip and palate repair, land-mine amputation stump remodeling (for the fitting of artificial limbs), burns relief, limb and other deformities etc.
Sri Lanka : Kalmunai Sri Lanka Medical, Psychological and Social Support for Child Survivors of the Tsunami ........ The tpwn of Kalmunai on the east coast of Sri Lanka was devastated by the tsunami on 26th Dec 2004. The Rose project focuses on meeting the needs of the children injured and traumatized by this event. Phase 1 of the project began with emergency pediatric support for child survivors. Phase 2 Developed counseling and psychological support. Rose Community Support Workers visit 18 schools and all the camps and assist over 22,000 children and their families. Phase 3 The development of educational and recreational activities: tutoring for government exams, basketball and cultural events. Phase 4 is the planned construction of a Childrens Memorial Community centre Indonesia: Medan, Sumartra, HIV treatment and Rehabilitation Center...... Project currently in planning phase.
